I planned to visit my family in Seattle during September this year because it's the most lovely time of year to be there. We normally stay with my family, but with the ever increasing number of babies being born, we thought it would be nice to have our own space for at least some of the visit this time. We had visited this house a couple of years ago when some friends of ours got married and their families stayed here and hosted the rehearsal dinner. I've lived in Seattle, so I knew the location well and that it would situate us right next to the zoo and in a very fun neighborhood with no shortage of things to do and see within walking distance. And we were also just a short drive from Ballard, Fremont, Green Lake, and Wallingford. Loved it!
This lovely, spacious, well maintained home was the perfect venue for our family to meet up before the wedding. Great bus route to town just 1 minute walk away and hot tub for your return. Thoroughly recommended.
My wife and I and 7 friends (+2 babies!) stayed at this home for 4 nights in August 2009. I admit there was nervousness about all of us being under the same roof in regards to space and noise etc..At the end of our stay is was unanimous that this house totally fit our needs as far as indoor and outdoor space. This house has a large kitchen/dining/living area and plenty of deck space for the nice Seattle weather.I am a real estate professional and have a tenancy to be skeptical when viewing homes. As far as location and property features..I have no trouble recommending this place to anybody looking for a modest, spacious, caption of Seattle living.
We were thrilled with our stay at this home. It was spacious, with comfortable furnishings. Nicely and simply decorated. The garden was lovely and the deck and spa a treat after a long day touring the city. The view west to the Olympics also provided colorful sunsets. A great house for a family reunion or for a few couples to share.
Great home for our family in a very convenient location. Coffee shops, restaurants, grocery store, Woodland Zoo and beautiful Greenlake Park all within easy walking distance.
We loved the house and the location. Our daughter got married in a Ballard location and it was perfect for us. We loved the neighborhood, the shops, restaraunts, and local flavor. It was easy to get into downtown Seattle, and any other place we needed to go. As a walker it was perfect. We loved having a quiet place to unwind in the evenings and the house was perfect for the five of us and our daughter and new son-in-law. We plan on coming out again and would not hestitate to rent this or another home in the area. Loved it.
This was our first vacation with our three kids ages 6 mos. to 5 years old and our first time renting a vacation home. It was perfect. The house was in excellent condition, clean, well organized and most importantly, there was plenty of room. The Phinney house made lifetime vacation renters out of us and we will stay there on our future Seattle visits.
The house was so comfortable and inviting. We had 8 adults and it never felt crowded. We loved the front porch! The beautiful garden on the east side of the house was a visual delight. The house is in a great central location - close to everything and walking distance to Green Lake, Red Mill for burgers and Starbucks for coffee. We would rent this house again!
Loved the house, location, garden, and neighborhood. The property managers responded quickly when there were problems. No hot water the first18 hours, no cable until the 5th day, a dishwasher that didn't release the soap. The furniture was very nice, lots of great space, full sized wash machine and dryer, super clean and manicured, lovely gardens, very comfortable beds, a great view, easy access in and out, and appreciated the responsiveness of the property managers. Kitchen utensils and pans pretty minimal, a little too minimal. Would love to return to the house--we loved it. Also enjoyed the shops, coffee house, and Ken's grocery store close by.
Great rental for a family! My sister/brother and their families stayed there
V. nice house with a beautiful garden in a great neighborhood. Ample street parking but easy to get downtown by bus. Lots of interesting neighborhood shops, restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. Notables include Prost, an authentic German brew pub, Oliver's Twist (good martinis), Herkimers (great coffee). Green Lake is in easy walking distance. Zoo is also close by.
I will recommend Sea to Sky Rentals definitely use them again. Having a house was just perfect for our extended family of 7. We were able to be together in a relaxed and comfortable "home." Thank you.
Perfect for our family's needs, with space, prime location, amenities, and comfort. We hosted some small-scale wedding-related entertainment there and friends and family loved it and envied us.
We invited out of town family to Seattle for our son's graduation. The house was perfect. The spa was sparkling, we walked to restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops. When we had a plumbing problem late Saturday evening, the response was immediate and very satisfactory.
Hot tub, fireplace, and a place for the family to spend time as a family. Hotels just can't do that. I just couldn't have asked for more. So, thank you, very very much.
We used this property to house our Vancouver crew for the 2007 Seattle Grad Prix sailing regatta. The sleeping arrangements were flexible enough to accommodate our group, and the crew enjoyed team breakfast and BBQ dinners. We stayed at a Best Western Pioneer Square for an earlier regatta, and this house was cheaper then multiple hotel rooms. We were able to sit 12 for our Saturday night dinner, which was more fun then the big restaurant meal the previous week. I would recommend this place to anyone with a team or large family that likes this location which is close to hip restaurants (Matterhorn) and the ocean (Shilshole).
Wonderful location. This house is in a neighborhood with some excellent restaurants and interesting shops. It was easy to walk to the zoo. And the house was most comfortable.
This service was very efficient and hassle free I would highly recommmend.
The house was very comfortable in a quiet location, close to everything. We loved being able to walk to nearby retaurants and shops but could leave the windows open at night and it was wonderfully quiet. Great family oriented neighborhood. Loved the hot tub in the evenings. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment. A bargain for a family of 5 but felt like we actually lived in Seattle.
Loved staying there - did not like/love putting out the garbage and recycling - too dark/too much/too confusing.
perfect rental for our family in our daughter's neighborhood - she didn't have room for everyone. loved walking just a few blocks for anything we needed.
The house is exactly as described, close to coffee shops, grocery store and very convenient. We wish it had enough time to use the jacuzzi.
It was a great base of operations for the week before our daughter's wedding.
We had a great stay. Lots of space for the family to spread out and the kids enjoyed their own private "rooms" in the closets!
We really enjoyed our stay at Phinney Spa Vacation home and our trip to Seattle. We would definitely return and recommmend it to friends!
We had a very good time and felt right at home. Rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Close to the markets and restaurants and easy commute to tourist attractions.
Very nice home, enjoyed staying there. Excellent location, House met and exceeded our groups needs.
A cute little house with a beautiful garden. It is tucked in a residential neighborhood with coffee shops and dining within walking distance. You are close to downtown Seattle making it very convenient. The staff was very responsive to our requests. The kitchen pots and pans were not sufficient for the 6 of us and they brought over new pans. They also fixed the garbage disposal while we were off sight seeing!!There are two draw backs the upstairs shower is only useable in a pinch since it is under the sloping ceiling and the dishwasher needs to be replaced.
We had a great stay in the Phinney house. The House was very clean and the neighborhood was wonderful. All around thumbs up!!
My wife and I have three children twin three year old boys and a five year old girl. The three bedrooms were perfect for us. The twins had the room with two beds and our daughter had her own room. We were withing walking distance to a grocery store and several restaurants. We had a GPS with us and we easily found the property and it was our base of operations as we travelled to and from the city. The kitchen and backyard were clean and organized. We were able to enjoy the hottub and BBQ salmon the first day! We would gladly recommend this property again.
The house was not ready for occupancy at the start of our reservation. Housekeeping had arrived late and did not have the home ready for us by 4 pm for our first day of occupancy. The house was cleaned up by 5/5:30, but our schedule was thrown off. I expected Sea to Sky to make some sort of monetary adjustment to our lease as compensation. No adjustment was made. This was disappointing.
It is understandable that our guest was upset. Unfortunately, it was a day where we did our absolute best and came up just 1 hour shy of success. One of our housekeepers was extremely ill that day, 2 employees were out of town for the Christmas holiday, and we had 3 same-day turns. Our bookkeeper generously stepped in to help, and they were able to get all three homes cleaned by 5 pm. We apologized to the guest and explained the situation, and he stated that he and his family were fine and that he was pleased with the house.
Great house and location for families with children over 3 or adults. Not for toddlers. Good restaurants and grocery within walking distance.
