The neighborhood and location were great! We were very satisified and would recommend this rental. Our only suggesion is to (vastly) improve the information in the notebook. We were traveling by bus and foot and there was very little info on the buses and connections. For example, provide the basics such as how you get downtown and to the airport. The only information pertained to the nearby mall, University Village, with no reference to a great local grocery within 5 blocks or the awesome local restaurants just around the corner. Also, the info on the trash pickup day is incorrect.
As soon as we walked in the front door we knew we had chosen the perfect place! From the warmth of the hardwood floors to the book lined built in shelves we knew this charming cottage would provide the relaxation we were looking for. The neighborhood extended a beautiful daily walk and we were within 5 minutes to some of the best shopping and local dining! And being so centrally located it took less than 15 minutes to get to all that downtown Seattle has to offer. Thank you for providing such a great home away from home!
Water pressure only real issue. Nice cozy place.
A lovely little cottage that was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 infants- we loved the convenience of the second small space that was perfect for housing 2 pack-n-plays and the washer/dryer. Very convenient, kitchen not too well stocked though.
Our stay was prefect- the location was very convenient and everything about the accommodations was to our liking. The information provided was helpful, and everything was seamless. Thank you!
Darling cottage. Perfect location for me. Many plumbing problems but Sea to Sky always very helpful and prompt with solving them. Would definitely rent there again!
Our two weeks at Fig Tree Cottage were quite enjoyable. The location lent itself well to walking to nearby sights, grocery stores, the university as well as local restaurants. The lake was nearby making it easy to enjoy the trail both north and south. The house was cozy with necessities for two. We didn't use much of the kitchen facility, but the appliances were fairly new, clean and serviceable. One suggestion is to pay a bit more attention to the linens; the bed linens weren't nice and really not the right size for the bed and we needed to request more than one set of towels. However, our requests were met in a timely fashion - all in all, very helpful, courteous staff responsible for the house. We highly recommend Fig Tree Cottage.
i would suggest coverings on the front door that you can not see through. at night you can see into the house soooo easily. also, in the back around the outdoor furniture i would love to see some white little lights hung around the trees.
Considering the considerable cleaning fee that is part of what we pay, it seems like the dire threats about leaving the kitchen in the same condition you received it etc. are overwrought. We are responsible tenants, and we believe that people should be expected not to trash a property, but perfect condition after a week's stay is asking a lot from people who have paid you a cleaning fee.
