We have stayed in several locations in Seattle and this one is tops!!!
We had a wonderful time in Seattle, spending two nights downtown and three nights at the Wallingford bungalow. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with basics and cooking tools, and the basement bedroom/sitting room/bath very convenient. The neighborhood has lots of funky shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. I ate at Chutney's, an Indian restaurant in the Wallingford Center, and had the best samosas I've ever eaten, and we ate ice cream at Molly something's that was fantastic.The internet service was pretty slow. I would have liked ceiling fans to keep the air circulating. Those are the only improvements I could think of~ it's a great place to stay.

Chutney's has wonderful Indian cuisine and Molly Moon's ice-cream is a definite summer delight! They use local, organic products and create some pretty amazing flavor combinations. There are no ceiling fans in the house, but there are fans provided in each of the bedroom closets to ensure our guests can enjoy air circulation on the occasional hot summer day. And thank you for bringing the Internet speed to our attention. All of our properties are equipped with high-speed Internet, so we will investigate to ensure this is the case. Thanks again!
I would recommend this property and management group to any of my traveling friends. The house was very clean and accommodated 8 adults well. The management team was very friendly and helpful before our arrival to Seattle and during our stay.
Great Location. can't beat it for that Seattle neighborhood feel. The place was clean and well furnished. The basement was under construction so was a bit rough, but still totally usable.
The only other thing that would make this home outstanding is speakers for the television. Great movies deserved great sound - Surround Sound!!!! Very tasteful decor, overall a great experience. Good Job Sea to Sky, we will be back.
Excellent property management--good info and easy rental process. This house and location was perfect for our 3 night stay. Easy access off freeway and really enjoyed the neighborhood. Would definitely recommend the house and property manager.
This cute craftman is in a perfect location. All kinds of excellent restaurants minutes walking distance. Easy access to freeways. This will be our choice each time we visit Seattle.
We arrived late at night from England and were relieved to be able to let ourselves in and immediately felt right at home. The house is well equipped, quiet and it fits in perfectly with Seattle style living. We have stayed in a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels but we felt more comfortable in this bungalow. The next time we go to Seattle this house will be our first choice. We have no complaints at all but do have a couple of suggestions for guests: The lighting is a bit dull for reading but there is a clip-on spot light in the hall cupboard. The front door does not always unlock but don’t panic, just relieve the pressure on the bolt and try it again. Finally, if you are bringing your computer, bring a long RJ45 cable (15 ft or more) so you don’t have to sit so close to the telly.
Staying in this bungalow was a wonderful experience--comfortable, roomy, well-stocked and excellent location. Will defintely use VRBO for future travel plans.
This is the perfect place to stay in Seattle. The location is ideal; quiet and friendly, yet walking distance to shops, restaurants and wonderful parks. The house is great; clean, well kept and comfortable. We have already recommended this house to several friends. We look forward to staying there next time we visit Seattle.
Hello- My family and I had a great stay in the wallingford house. We needed to be close to the cancer center but also wanted somewhere to add a bit of fun into a stressful trip. We had a great time exploring the neighborhood and it was still within minutes to get to our appointments. We were also able to get to the seattle center easily for a trip to the children's museum. We will stay again next time we are in the area. It was easy to book online and Julie was such a help. Keep up the good work. Only thing that would be nice is having access to one more bedroom in the huge downstairs.Thanks, Jenny Daley
I loved staying in this great little house while we were in Seattle for a wedding. It was within walking distance of a grocery store, a Starbucks, and a great little breakfast spot (Julia's). Also just a very short drive from the zoo, Green Lake, University of Washington and 10 min. from downtown. My family had an great time exploring. We had originally tried to stay in a condo downtown, but ended up in Wallingford instead and we couldn't have been happier. Thanks for the wonderful stay !!
One of the great things about this house is that you really do not need to drive, you can walk to wonderful restaurants, shops and parks. The ice-cream shop Molloy Moons is probably the best ice-cream you will ever eat.
I have been to other places and they usually have a bit of a toy bin for the kids and this would have been a nice add on.
Small house with great character and terrific location. Very welcoming and everything you need for a very comfortable stay.
The house and location were excellent. Bus ride into downtown was convienent. The property management's recommendation was right on target. Great for two kids and two adults. We'll be back.
the only area that felt 'unfinished' was of course the basement. an area rug would have helped to keep the noise down while walking across the plywood floors. however, for sleeping, it was just fine, and most of our socializing was done upstairs anyway. overall it was a very comfortable and elegant place to stay and we would highly recommend it to others.
As a Bungalow owner, we were delighted to be located in such a quiet neighborhood filled with charming old Bungalows. Not only was the house well-kept, cozy and comfortable the location was perfect. The close freeway access was great as it seemed we were constantly on the go. Another big plus was being able to walk to the grocery store, restaurants and stores. With six of us in the house (grandma and grandpa down to two teenagers) there was plenty of room for everyone. We have rented from Sea to Sky before and definitely will again.
My family enjoyed staying in the Wallingford house. It is very much like our own circa 1920. The drive to Seattle is less than 10 minutes. The area has many nice little restaurants and the QFC grocery store has all you could need. The Woodland Zoo, Washington U, Burke Museum and Art Museum is here as well. The house is actually bigger than stated and has a big basement area that they probably will finish (also a small bathroom). Julie took the time to answer all my questions. My wife, two small children and I spent a week in Seattle and wanted to stay in a real neighborhood that we already loved. This house was perfect. The only issues we had were that it was unusually warm while we were there and the house had no air-conditioning. Some of the windows were stuck or wouldn't stay open, but a quick trip to the hardware store across the street and $5 got us some planter stakes that did the job fine. The location can't be beat - a quick 5 minute drive into any part of the city, easy access to both I-5 and Highway 99, plenty of great restaurants and conveniences that were only blocks away. There was a great playground three blocks away that I think we visited every day. The house itself is very nice - furnishings are nice enough that you feel like you may be in your own home, yet not so nice that I was worried our kids might break something accidentally. Very simple, without a lot of clutter - by the end of the week we felt like it was our own. The washer/dryer you have to access by going outside through the basement, but again a VERY minor inconvenience. Nice neighborhood, with a nice street - the driveway was also an excellent convenience, given that street parking at night is not allowed. I would heartily recommend staying at the Heart of Wallingford bungalow.
The location of the vacation rental was great. Having parking was really a plus. The house was nice but a few unfinished details were evident. Although not a lot of cleaning was required having to be out by 11am and getting it all cleaned was a little challenging after being at the airport at midnight. The house was welcoming upon arrival, the yard looked good and the neighbor's flowers smelled great. There was a lot of information on how to recycle and manage everything in the house. I was worried about a white couch and white chairs but it worked out fine. The movies and popcorn were a nice bonus.
