My family very much enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Montlake home. We also took use of the kid package and found the toybin, gates and travel crib extremely useful. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
All 5's and Yes! we will be recommending Sea and Sky to friends and relatives. The home was a home away from home. Perfect!
The house worked perfectly for our family. I would recommend it to anyone spending time in the Seattle area.
Very close to UW and Children's Hospital. Cute house with a great location.
Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. Perfect for our family reunion weekend. Thank you!
This is the best vacation rental in which I've ever stayed. The house is so well stocked, and the property management company is amazing. They supplied us with baby gates, play pen, high chair, DVDs, and even toys. I would highly recommend this charming home in the fantastic Montlake neighborhood (just 10 minutes from downtown and 15 minutes from the Bellevue/Kirkland area).
We stayed in this lovely Montlake home for the second time. It feels like our home in Seattle. The location is perfect, the management company is easy to communicate with. They are able to address any needs promptly. We would highly recommend Sea to Sky Rentals and this Montlake house in particular. The property is clean, quiet and comfortable in a perfect location.
I booked this house to host overflow after an extended family Alaska cruise. Keeping everyone out of a hotel and giving everyone space to spread out was a Godsend. We particularly enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the sun on the deck. Thanks for a great stay!
I was going to call you and tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Having the additional space in such a nice home in a great location really made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our family. Thank you.
We had a wonderful holiday here. Room enough for all 10 of us, while still having enough space to get away! Great accessible location too! Beautifully appointed and very clean.
The home was well equipped with stuff to make us feel at home. Great rental property for a family gathering.
I wish there were some more sheets provided. The house was decorated in such a way that it made us feel very at home. We had one small problem in that the blow -up bed didn't work. I called about the problem and another bed was delivered the same day.
We stayed here for a wedding and couldn't be happier. Everyone from our group loved the house and the serenity of the neighborhood. Getting downtown (and out of town) were extremely easy and while we were at first skeptical of renting a house, it turned out very well. I would recommend this property to anyone staying in the Seattle area.
This was a perfect house for us. Great location and great space. We really appreciated having a washer & dryer.
The Montlake Craftsman house worked out perfectly for our family group of ten, four kids and six adults. It was a great location for attending a wedding in the Wallingford area. The outside deck provided additional living space amidst flowers and berries in the back yard. We enjoyed exploring the Arboretum and Interlaken Park in the wonderful Montlake neighborhood. The only room for improvement I would mention is the water pressure for taking showers was weak. This was particularly apparent when we we all trying to get ready for the wedding--not surprising for a charming older house. But everything else was great. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking implements. The house was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again if the need arose. Sea to Sky Rentals was very helpful when we got locked out of the house and sent someone right over to help us.Beats a hotel in every way, anytime!!!! Especially when traveling with little ones. Interlaken Park,
This house was great for our needs. We were there for our son's graduation from Seattle University. We had family and friends coming in from out of town. We were able to have a BBQ there at the house after the graduation. The location was pretty close for all the SU grads to stop by for a burger. It was perfect for our needs and I especially liked the check in and out process. I have stayed at other properties where it is a hassle to get the keys and get checked in. This was great ...it was all ready to go when we arrived! Would recommend this place for a relaxing stay in Seattle.
Montlake is a great location for a visit to Seattle! We found the house perfect for our needs. Hubs and I took the bedroom suite upstairs, and my Mom had a bedroom and bath on the main floor. Plenty of room for kids downstairs, and don't miss the playhouse! Lovely yard and view from the back deck.
Me and a few friends stayed at this home and we had a great time. The place was very spacious and centrally located. I would rent again.
We had never stayed in a VRBO before and when we opened the door, we were surprised at how lovely this home was - just beautiful. We will be staying there again in a few weeks!
We stayed at the bungalow for 1 week and it was a great place for our family. The downstairs bedroom had a cute playhouse and toys which our son loved. The media room was perfect for watching movies. The master suite on the top floor was very spacious. It is centrally located so it was easy to get downtown or the Eastside. The home decor was beautiful - hard to believe it was all left there for a rental - usually rentals have very plain furniture. This 'bungalow' could've easily accommodated 6 people comfortably (even though we only had 3). We also had to cancel our original trip due to a family emergency and the reservation staff was very understanding and allowed us to reschedule within a year.
We had a fantastic stay! We were five couples from all over the US who hadn't seen each other in a couple of years, in town for another friends wedding, so this was an ideal arrangement for us - staying in separate hotel rooms would not have been the same! Booking and paying was painless, the house was beautiful. I would highly recommend this home and Sea to Sky Rentals to anyone. Thank you!
We stayed for 4 days in July of 2007 and had a fabulous time. There were 3 families, each with 1 child (ages 2-3yr) and the house was perfect with the yard for the kids to play in. The location made it super easy to get places and we would definitely fo back.
Took family of 5 including 84 year old grandmother for week in Seattle to visit daughter at UW and to see Seattle and friends. Great location, privacy for everyone and good place to have friends over for dinner. Beautiful arboretum a short walk away, don't miss it/
This place was private in a very nice neighborhood---close to many of Seattle's area attractions. You can catch a bus, walk or cab to all your favorite spots in Seattle. We definitely recommend it!
Feel like we missed some of the experiece of being in Seattle by not being able to have windows open
Since you asked about the furniture, the deck furniture was not very comfortable, and the living room chairs were not at all comfortable, creaky noises, etc. The Japanese art was beautiful. Except for those chairs, we were very pleased with the house. It worked perfectly for seven people -
We happened to be in Seattle during one of the biggest snow storms in 20 years, and found the property to be comfortable and accomodating for our family with three small kids. The yard was just littered with snow men by the time we departed. Just a small disappointment: Low Water pressure put a "damper" on a relaxing shower. Downstairs Bathroom heater did not work, so the bathroom was also very cold.Don't be discouraged... this is a great house to relax in.
Although we were gernally happy with the rental, and hope to visit again, we wanted to call your attention to the upstairs shower which should be replaced with a good mixing valve. It worked very poorly - water going from hot to cold while using. Probably does not pass code, and could be a liability for you.Thank you, James R. Weir AIA
There were a few things that were not working properly (toaster oven and toaster)...but overall it was a good place. We enjoyed ourselves and felt very comfortable. Nice linens, quality products, etc. Although we all liked the place very much, we are not sure we'd come back because of the barking dog (who barked at midnight, sometimes at 4 a.m., etc.); he woke us up several nights.
the upstairs shower was unworkable. There was absolutely no water pressure, and the fixture to divert water from the faucet to the shower head worked very poorly, at best. Taking a shower, washing hair was an ordeal because there was just a bare trickle of water. The downstairs bathroom was better, but the water pressure was also poor there and the temperature varied widely during the shower. I contacted Sea to Sky after my stay to address with them, but never received a reply to my email.
The location of the property suited our needs well! Just outside the city, we were able to access major routes as well as walking trails and parks....house was very well appointed and all eight of us were comfortable!
The $1.00 per minute assessment for early arrival or late departure is absurd, particularily when coupled with the cost per night. The neighbor dogs were annoying.
Several members of our family (including a baby)enjoyed the Craftsman Cottage while attending our son's wedding. Overall, the accomodations and the vist were very good. Only two recommendations for improvement. The tv downstairs did not work, apparenty because the previous visitor had pulled the cable oout of the wall. It could be easily repaired, but not while we were there. Only the upper level bedroon has an air-conditioner, and it is pretty weak. In August it was very hot. We were told that the house was air-conditioned, but that is really only partially true.
We rented this for our family who were here for my grad school commencement. The property was dirty; there was a problem with the toilet & when we investigated we found a beer in the tank; there was one roll of toilet paper when we arrived for a week long stay for nine people, the door and balcony on the second floor was broken and rather than fix it there was a sign saying not to use it as it was unsafe and broken, the big screen television did not work in the media room-someone came out to fix it two days after we contacted you, yet it still would not work. I called after my family left to complain and was told I'd get a call back with some resolution and I never heard from anyone again. I will never use your service again and will advise others to avoid you. I could have forgiven all of the problems with the property if the response would have been different, but the service was absolutely non-existent. -Donna D.
